What is Veyo?
Veyo is a full-service NEMT broker. We work with state governments and managed care organizations to manage the transportation benefits of their Medicaid and Medicare populations. Learn more about Veyo® services here.
Who can use Veyo® services?
Currently we partner with health insurance plans to provide transportation for their members. To discover whether or not you can use Veyo® services, please reach out to your health insurance plan and ask about your transportation benefits.
Where is Veyo located?
The Veyo headquarters are located in San Diego, CA. We also have regional offices in states that we operate in. You can find more information about our offices on our Contact Us page.
What is NEMT?
NEMT stands for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation. NEMT is an important benefit for beneficiaries who need to get to and from medical services, but have no means of transportation. Learn more about NEMT here.
Is Veyo a full-service broker?
Yes, Veyo is a full-service transportation broker, offering member management, eligibility, provider network management, credentialing, claims review, reporting, etc. for all modes and all regions.
Where is Veyo currently operating?
Veyo is currently operating in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, and Virginia with additional markets opening in early 2020.
How do I sign up for Veyo® services?
Currently we partner with health insurance plans and health facilities to provide transportation for their members. We don’t have a consumer-facing option right now. We recommend that you reach out to your health insurance plan and ask them about your transportation benefits. They will let you know who manages their benefits, and hopefully it’s us! If so, they can help you schedule transportation.
Do I have to pay for Veyo® services?
Because we contract with health plans, our transportation costs are covered by insurance or Medicaid/Medicare Advantage benefits. There is no cost to the passenger to use Veyo® services.
Can my friend or family member sign up for Veyo® services?
At this time we do not offer the ability to sign up for Veyo® services. If we are partnered with your health plan, they will be able to give you more information on using your transportation benefit.
Do passengers need a smartphone to use Veyo® services?
No, passengers do not need a smartphone to use Veyo® services. Passengers can request trips through through a call center or a plan-specific website (they will receive the website address/phone number for that call center from their health plan).
Who can drive with Veyo?
Veyo works with both commercial transportation providers and independent driver-providers. If you’re a commercial transportation provider, you can find more information about partnering with Veyo here.
To become an independent driver-provider, you’ll need to complete our registration process which includes: passing a background check (which may include fingerprinting), passing a drug test, completing a CPR training course, and completing ADA/HIPAA/customer sensitivity training. Our Driver-Providers must have a four-door vehicle, year 2006 or newer*, which has passed a Veyo vehicle inspection. For full vehicle requirements, click here. Do I need a special license?
Nope. But you do have to pass driving history and criminal background check requirements that are based on the state you are driving in. We’ll let you know more about those once you start the signup process.
Who will I be driving?
You’ll be driving people to and from their doctor or health appointments. Because their health appointments are scheduled beforehand, we know when and where pickups will need to occur, and we’ll help guide you to the right locations to ensure your success!
