We’re Turning One!

It’s been a busy year here at Veyo, and today we’re celebrating our one year anniversary! To honor our first year in business, we wanted to share two new updates and a few of the great things we’ve been up to.
First, we’ve been named a Top Workplace in San Diego by the San Diego Union-Tribune. (Check out the full release here.) Top Workplaces awards are given out to companies based on employee feedback. We’re honored to be on the list and we’re super excited to be headquartered in such a great city.
Second, to help give back in our first year, several of our San Diego Veyoians participated in this year’s Pedal the Cause event at Petco Park on November 13th. Thanks to our awesome cyclists, we raised over $5,000 for the cause – all of which goes to fund life-saving cancer research. Our team had a blast at the event and can’t wait to participate next year. We also opened up two new Independent Driver-Provider (IDP) recruitment offices this past year – one in Boise, Idaho and one in Phoenix, Arizona. IDPs can come in and learn more about Veyo, get their CPR certifications, and network with other IDPs.
What else have we been up to in the past year? Well, we’ve:
- Launched NEMT brokerage services in six states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, and Texas), including two statewide Medicaid contracts
- Completed over 3 million NEMT trips
- Managed logistics services for 2.5 million Medicaid and Medicare Advantage members
- Partnered with over 2,000 Independent Driver-Providers (IDPs) who are completing and average of 8,000 trips/day
- Launched a new Driver App and Provider Portal
- Recorded performance results that have never been seen before, including:
- An overall on-time performance rate of 98% (99.7% for our IDP fleet)
- A grievance rate of just 0.016% (0.007% for our IDP fleet)
- An average response time of 10 minutes from driver acceptance to member pickup
- Moved into our new headquarters in San Diego
- Expanded our team to include over 300 Veyoians in four states (and we’re still hiring!)
- Attended over 25 conferences (and spoke at several of them)
