Veyo Connecticut: Two-Year Update

January 1, 2020 marked the beginning of our third year of service as the Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) broker for the State of Connecticut. 2019 was a year of growth and learning for Veyo, and we’re proud of the advancements we’ve made and the service we’ve provided for the HUSKY Health Medicaid members in Connecticut.
Quick stats for Veyo in Connecticut:
- From January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, Veyo completed 4,860,228 trips in Connecticut, a 20% year-over-year increase from 2018. During 2019, 11 of the 12 months were record high months for the contract.
- Veyo is now servicing 800,000 Medicaid-eligible HUSKY Health members throughout the state of Connecticut.
- Veyo’s IDP fleet has grown by 200% to include 760 IDPs who completed 202,000 trips in 2019.
- In 2019, Veyo handled 1,136,196 calls through the Veyo Contact Center with an abandonment rate in the latest quarter of just 2.98%.
- Improvements to the Veyo Contact Center, including the addition of Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) and Automated Speech Recognition (ASR), have led to a 39% year-over-year decrease in average speed of answer and a 50% year-over-year decrease in abandoned calls.
