Ending the Year on a High Note: A Recap of Veyo Team Achievements

2021 has been a busy year and we are so excited to share a recap on some exciting awards that the Veyo team has received over the past two months. As this year comes to a close, we want to extend a huge thank you to our dedicated team here at Veyo who are all committed to creating a better future for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) and we are honored to see your hard work recognized. 

San Diego Business Journal SD 500 – The Most Influential People in San Diego

Recently, our CEO Josh Komenda was named one of the most influential people in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal in their annual SD500 awards. 

The SD500 list recognizes C-Suite executives, and other key regional organization leaders who have demonstrated strong leadership skills, re-invented their companies during unprecedented times, embraced diversity, inclusion and equity and are significantly involved in the community. 

It is an honor to see his name listed along other leaders who are transforming the ​​San Diego community. Curious what Josh’s best advice is?

AZ Big Media – 2021 AZ Business Angels Award

Quickly following the SD500 awards, Josh was recognized as a Healthcare Executive of the Year by AZ Big Media in the 2021 AZ Business Angels Awards.

 

These awards cast a spotlight on nonprofits, business leaders and organizations that are making the biggest impact in the Arizona community. 

Each day, Veyo transports over 8,000 Arizona residents to and from their critical medical appointments and to date, we have completed over 13 million total trips in the Arizona region. In addition to providing reliable transportation, supporting the communities we operate in through giving has always been a cornerstone of our business. We’re proud to partner with organizations throughout the state of Arizona to continue to serve the community in new capacities. 

It’s an honor to see Josh’s work recognized and selected out of hundreds of nominations as one of the top five Healthcare Executive Leaders in the state. We look forward to continuing to serve the state of Arizona, ensuring that everyone has equal access to healthcare.

And last but not least, our very own Chief Legal Officer Bart Peach was recognized as one of San Diego Business Journal’s Leaders in Law.

The Leaders in Law program recognizes the significant role general counsel plays in the success of a business enterprise and the accomplishments of leading lawyers and firms within the San Diego business community.

From a young age, Bart knew that he wanted to devote his career to making a difference in the healthcare industry. His extensive experience working in private practice, led him to Veyo to continue his law career while helping people navigate the healthcare system. We’re excited to see his accomplishments and community involvement recognized by the San Diego Business Journal.
