Senior Compliance Specialist – San Diego, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 50% Support Company Compliance Program
    • Facilitate preparation for and conduct of client audits of Veyo
    • Manage/monitor Corrective Action Plans
    • Manage internal review of policies and procedures
    • Conduct internal investigations related to grievances, complaints and suspected FWA
  • 25% Conduct internal audits of IDP and 3PO credentialing files.
  • 25% Support Company Quality Programs
    • Manage selection and tracking of Corporate Quality Improvement Projects:
    • Schedule and facilitate project meetings.
    • Prepare project reports for Corporate Compliance and Quality Committee
    • Serve on the Quality Subcommittee and co-facilitate the monthly meetings

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years related experience with healthcare credentialing audit
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance auditing tools
  • Knowledge of healthcare accreditation procedures
  • Knowledge or ability to learn CMS regulations.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn healthcare compliance, including achievement of CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance).
  • Understanding of Medicaid provider enrollment procedures.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Intermediate excel and word skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn FTA Drug and Alcohol program requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments
  • Ability to work independently and objectively.
